If you haven’t read it yet, the LA Times has put out an article covering a recent interview with Lakers owner Jerry Buss.  From the interview we learned three important things: Buss will spend whatever it takes to keep the core of the team intact; the Lakers don’t play for Western Conference titles, rather they play for Championship titles; and, he would like to see a rematch of last year’s finals and get revenge on Boston.

With the possibility of Kobe becoming an unrestricted free agent next July, this is certainly good news.  Love Bryant or hate him, you can’t deny he is what makes this Lakers team great.  I’m one of those fans that would love to see Kobe stay in purple and gold until he calls it quits.
